Photo: ETTI Faculty \u2013 POLITEHNICA Bucharest.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>Their projects focused on applications in artificial intelligence, communications, robotics, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Andrei Mihai-Cosmin<\/strong> \u2013 an intelligent system for automatic license plate recognition;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adrian Catalan<\/strong> \u2013 wireless control of a mobile platform using hand gestures;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lucian-Andrei P\u00eervu<\/strong> \u2013 automatic control of ventilation and lighting via Bluetooth;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bianca-Maria S\u0103raru<\/strong> \u2013 an intelligent MFA control system in a secure environment, based on Edge AI and IoT;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Andreea-Maria Cristea<\/strong> \u2013 monitoring environmental parameters at a children's playground.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The work was carried out under the coordination of <strong>Associate Professor Rodica-Claudia Constantinescu, Ph.D., Eng.<\/strong> and a <strong>Bogdan Alexandrescu, Ph.D., Eng.<\/strong>, both co-authors. Their participation gave the students the opportunity to present their findings, talk with experts, and gain experience in scientific communication.<\/p>\n<p>The conference was organized by the SIITME Coordinating Committee, in collaboration with the IEEE and the IEEE Hungary &amp; Romania EPS &amp; NTC Joint Chapter, with \u201eValahia\u201d University serving as the local organizer.<\/p>\n<p
