Official English language test
Dear students,
Starting this academic year, Politehnica Bucharest, in partnership with the British Council, is launching official English language testing for students of the largest technical university in the country, being the first university in Romania to offer this service free of charge to its students.
Through this partnership, Politehnica Bucharest will offer free students tests English Score and Aptis. The benefits of these tests include significantly higher chances of employment, the opportunity for students to pursue study abroad programmes, and a quick and accurate assessment of individual knowledge.
The certificates of competence offered through this partnership are recognised in over 85 countries and 80 international companies.
Test English Score is aimed at students from licence. It can be taken on a mobile phone, laptop or tablet using an app (British Council EnglishScore) which students can download from the Play Store / App Store. They will log into this app with their institutional email and a code which we will send out shortly. There is the possibility to take the test 4 times and the one with the best score will be chosen for certification. The certificate is not issued from the application, it will be issued to all students at the end of the test period - beginning of September - and will be sent by email.
The English Score test will be available from June to August via a mobile app.
Test Aptis is aimed at students from master. The exam will take place physically in the university, at the Precis Centre, on 17-19 June. When registering, students can select their preferred day and time slot. Test supervision will be provided by the British Council. Certificates will be issued approximately 2 weeks after the exams, will arrive at the International Relations Department, and will be distributed to the secretaries of each faculty.
