„Tudor Tanasescu” 2026 competition - engineering student excellence celebrated at ETTI
The Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology of the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest hosted, between March 20-21, 2026, the 50th edition of the „Tudor Tanasescu” Student Scientific Professional Contest - a benchmark of academic performance in the fields of electronics, telecommunications and information technology.
With a tradition that started in 1974, the competition brings together annually the best students from the major university centers in Romania, offering them a high-level competitive framework for validating their knowledge and developing practical skills.
Competition, performance and industry connection
The structure of the competition - 70% theoretical test and 30% practical test - emphasized both academic rigor and the ability to apply knowledge in real-life contexts.
A defining element of this year's edition was the practical component, built around a voltage stabilizer developed by Infineon Technologies, designed and tested in Bucharest, giving students the opportunity to work with relevant technologies.
2026 partners and supporters
This year's edition was organized in collaboration with Electronica 2000 Foundation as co-organizer.
The competition was supported by industry partners structured as follows:
