ERASMUS+ mobility grants competition March 2026
Long-term grants for 1 academic year or 1 semester in the year 2026-2027 + Grants for summer internship year 3 - summer 2026
The competition for the selection of candidates for Erasmus+ student status for the academic year 2026 - 2027 (for the whole academic year or for one semester of the academic year) and for the Erasmus summer placement (year 3-2026) will take place on 17.03.2026 at 10.00.
The competition will take place in the Council Room on the 1st floor.
- The average of the study semester counts 60% of the final ERASMUS admission average.
- 10% counts professional-scientific activity / Participation, awards, diplomas, innovations or other relevant achievements in scientific events, projects, competitions, olympiads, etc. at local level/Politehnica București.
- 151TPTP3T - counts professional-scientific activity / Participation, awards, diplomas, innovations or other relevant achievements in national/international scientific events, projects, competitions, olympiads, etc.
- 15% - Motivation
Further information on the organization of the competition will be communicated to the candidates after the submission of their applications.
All documents are uploaded online only on the platform erasmus.upb.ro , until March 14, 2025. . Not emailed or physically delivered.
Candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
- For study mobility for one year or one semester in 2026-2027 they must be integralists and have an average above 7, or have a remaining grade and have an average above 8.00
- For placement mobility (summer practicum year 3 - summer 2026) they must be integralists and have a GPA above 6.00 or, if they have outstanding, have a GPA above 7.00

WARNING! Check that the University you choose has courses in a language you know. Some universities usually have courses in national languages (German, French, Spanish, etc). If you are in your 4th year in 2026-2027 you can also choose Master's courses which are usually in English.
If it says 10 months on the right of a university, it means that either 1 student can leave for 2 semesters, or 2 students can leave for 1 semester each.
The documents required according to the methodology will be uploaded until 14.03.2026 at 23.59:
Art. 33. The student logs in with the institutional credentials (institutional e-mail) on the platform https://erasmus.upb.ro and completes the application (see guide: https://upb.ro/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Mini-ghid-de-informare-Biroul-Erasmus-SELECTIE-Facultate.pdf). In the application, the student must upload the following documents:
(1) School situation (requested from the secretariat - please specify that you are applying for the ERASMUS competition), including the average (M) of the previous semesters of study of the corresponding cycle of study, requested from the secretariat of the faculty, except for doctoral students who will present the doctoral student certificate issued by the secretariat of the Doctoral School; The average is calculated as the sum of the average of the scholarship year per semester, divided by the number of semesters. The obtained value is added in the GPA field on erasmus.upb.ro
(2) Presentation of the professional-scientific activity, i.e. awards, diplomas, innovations or other relevant results in scientific events, projects, competitions, olympiads, etc., including from the period of high school studies, at local / POLITEHNICA Bucharest, national / international level;
(3) Attestation of knowledge of a language of international communication or the official language of the host country, issued by the Department of Modern Languages of POLITEHNICA Bucharest or by an authorized institution, or issued when you took the BAC. The level of proficiency in that language must be at least B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages; the Modern Languages Department of POLITEHNICII will organize a series of examinations for the award of certificates for several foreign languages. Please try to take part in these examinations in order to get certificates for several foreign languages.
(4) Motivation letter (in English, French or German);
(5) EUROPASS Curriculum Vitae (in English, French or German);
(6) Copy of identity card

The language certificate is a component document of both the selection and the grant application, and we invite you to take the free language test if you do not already have one.
The language test for the ERASMUS+ Selection Call for placement mobilities taking place in the summer of 2026 and study mobilities taking place during the academic year 2026-2027 will be organized on March 3, 2026 (Tuesday) on Moodle as follows:

For placement mobilities (internships for summer 2025) you will choose in the erasmus.upb.ro platform only the country where you want to do this mobility if you want to go to a company, or the university if you want to do an internship at a university. For companies you will fill in later where you will do your placement mobility.
After completing the interview all accepted students must continue the Erasmus+ grant award steps and follow the instructions on the website: https://upb.ro/erasmus/studenti/ .

You can find the evaluation criteria in Art 36 and the amount of the scholarships in Art 4.(3).
During their studies, a student can benefit from a maximum of 12 months of Erasmus+ study and placement mobility per study cycle.
Mobilities are classified into:
(1) Long-term mobility which can be for study, placement (internship/internship) or study and placement.
Study mobility long-term is an action which allows students to study for 2 to 10 months in a higher education institution in an EU or non-EU partner country other than their home institution.
Depending on the work carried out by the student at the partner institution, the mobility is
share:
a) training mobility (participation in courses, seminars, laboratories and forms of verification foreseen in the curricula of the partner institution, which are fully recognized at POLITEHNICA Bucharest);
b) Internship mobility for the elaboration of the final project.
Placement mobility Long-term is the action that allows students to undertake a practical work placement. The duration of the placement is between 2 and 4 months for bachelor and master cycles, and between 2 and 10 months for doctoral cycles.
Long-term placement mobility can take place in an institution in an EU partner country: enterprises, training centres, research centres, including higher education institutions or other organizations - except EU bodies, EU institutions organizing programmes, Romanian embassies/diplomatic representations
