On October 21, 2026, the Central Library of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest hosted the IPCEI@POLITEHNICA workshop, which was opened by Rector Mihnea Costoiu. The meeting reviewed the progress of the four microelectronics projects carried out by the university through the PNRR, as part of the European IPCEI ME/CT initiative.
The discussions brought together university teams, industry partners AUMOVIO Technologies Romania, NXP Semiconductors, and Bosch Romania, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Investments and European Projects. Research in the fields of sensors and actuators, heterogeneous integration, and semiconductor technologies was reviewed, including the „Sense, Think @Politehnica Bucharest” project.
The rector’s post highlights the contributions of project managers Daniel Comeaga, Răzvan Crăciunescu, and Vasile Mădălin Moise, as well as those of Vice Rector Cristian Negrescu. The workshop provided a forum for evaluating the results and fostering dialogue among the university, industry, and the institutions involved in research funding.
In a statement highlighting ETTI’s involvement in strategic microelectronics projects, the faculty emphasized the contributions of Vice Dean Prof. Răzvan Crăciunescu, Mădălin Moise, and Marius Enăchescu, along with the university teams and industry partners. Announcement from the ETTI Faculty complements the presentation of the workshop and the research collaborations.
