Overview
The SIVA Master's program aims to transfer theoretical and practical necessary for the identification and elaboration of strategies for the development solving complex technical problems, specific to the field of Systems Systems and Artificial Vision. The keywords of the program correspond to triplet: COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE (with focus on DEEP LEARNING)+COMPUTER VISION+ BIG DATA MINING. The program focuses on components of the above mentioned triplet, corresponding to the following key disciplines: Computational Intelligence I, II and III, Computer Vision I and II, Computational Imaging, Human-Machine Visual Interfacing, Big Data Mining. Alongside these, the program contains other significant disciplines for Information Technology such as: Technologies and Equipment Multimedia, Information Architecture, Sensor Networks, Stochastic Processes and Stochastic Modeling. SIVA is the only master's program at the faculty ETTI approved in the field of Computers and Information Technology (CTI).
Who is it for?
The SIVA program aims to educate highly trained specialists in a highly topical and exciting area of research included in the field of Computation and Information Technology (CTI), representing the triplet: Artificial Intelligence+Computer Vision+Big Data Mining: engineers, mathematicians, doctors, economists. The program contributes to the development of innovation and outstanding technical skills needed to implement practical applications and scientific research in these fields frontier.
Objectives of the Master's programme
The primary objective of the SIVA master program is to present the fundamentals of Computational Intelligence including intelligent techniques inspired techniques (such as artificial neural networks, evolutionary computation, swarm intelligence, fuzzy systems, etc), as well as current DEEP LEARNING techniques focused on Computer Vision and Big Data Mining applications. A another objective is oriented towards the students' acquisition and use of fundamental methods of image processing, designing applications for Computer Vision in real systems, analyzing video sequences in the context of industrial, medical, robotics or observation applications Earth observation, and automated human-machine vision interfacing. Another third objective is the development of the ability to automatically extract information relevant information from big data archives (BIG DATA MINING).
Specialist skills offered to graduates
- Ability to model and design software/hardware systems based on artificial intelligence techniques to solve problems of pattern recognition in the fields of earth observation, robotics biology, medicine, economics, economics, finance, games, control quality control; within artificial intelligence, the ability to utilize both naturally inspired intelligent techniques (artificial intelligence and Deep Learning models.
- Ability to model and design processing software/hardware systems and image analysis for specific applications; the ability to both utilize existing image processing software programs, and to design and implement new systems, using interfaces and specific languages.
