Overview

The ICSFET Master's research programme aims to achieve a high level of training in the modern interdisciplinary field of Quality and Safety Engineering in operation (reliability, maintainability, safety, survivability etc.). It aims to provide the theoretical basis and the applied knowledge for ICSFET graduates to be able to solve quality and safety in operation problems specific to electronics and telecommunications, to acquire the ability to have a system level vision and to follow specific design procedures for quality and reliability, reliability/safety analysis, risk and diagnosis, studies related to the physics of faults, etc. The Master's programme trains the skills and gives the tools and techniques to solve interdisciplinary problems in this current field of the unified European Economic Area. The ICSFET Master's programme has been developed to be compatible with that of other European universities in order to facilitate the exchange of teachers/students within the framework of EU educational and research programmes (mainly Erasmus).

Who is it for?

The ICSFET Master's programme is aimed at graduates with undergraduate degrees in the fields of: electronic engineering and telecommunications, computers and information technology, applied engineering sciences, electrical engineering, economic engineering (electronics) who want to specialise in this field.
interdisciplinary approach.

Objectives of the Master's programme:

The ICSFET Master's programme aims to provide the theoretical basis and applied knowledge to enable its graduates to solve technical, economic, managerial, legal, quality standardisation and operational safety problems specific to electronics and telecommunications. It creates the necessary skills in the areas of quality, reliability, maintainability and risk.
covering design, manufacturing, risk and security analysis, testing and optimal maintenance for electronics and IT&C.

Specialist skills offered to graduates

The ICSFET programme provides skills in quality, reliability, maintainability, security and survivability engineering and management for the electronics and IT&C fields. The courses, labs, research activity carried out in this master create the necessary skills for developments/research on this issue; thus, the graduate of this master is able to design, develop, manufacture,
test and maintain electronic and telecommunications systems at a high level of reliability and security for optimum cost.

Examples of research directions addressed

  • Quality and reliability control and management;
  • Quality of service assessment in telecommunications networks;
  • Analysis and certification of the quality, reliability and security of IT&C systems;
  • Reliability assessment of complex electronic components and systems;
  • Risk and security analysis in IT&C systems;
  • Reliability and security analysis of high functional responsibility systems
