Performance evaluations
Course Holder: Prof. dr. eng. Lucian IOAN
Laboratory holder: Prof. dr. eng. Lucian IOAN
The objective of the discipline is to estimate the performance indicators (efficiency, delays, losses, lock-ups, availability, accuracy, understandability, etc.) that characterise both systems/applications already in use and those that are expected to be used in the future. The techniques covered are analytical modelling and simulation, both of which are tested in practice by solving case studies proposed during the practical activities of the subject. The specific objectives are: knowledge of the main analytical models used in the calculation of performance indicators and how to apply them in practice; acquisition of the necessary skills to efficiently collect primary data obtained through measurements and to correctly interpret the results provided by statistical analysis tools; understanding of the simulation technique under event control and how to apply it in the implementation of specific simulation programs.
