Real-time and distributed systems
Course Holder: Prof. dr. eng. Eugen BORCOCI
Laboratory holder: Prof. dr. eng. Sorin ZOICAN
The course Real-time and Distributed Systems studies how to realize real-time systems with applications in integrated communication systems and networks. It starts from their definition and continues with the presentation of basic concepts for real-time processes, formal description and implementation of processes, management and allocation of system resources, methods for planning the execution of parallel processes, communication and synchronization in interdependent real-time systems. Advanced architectures of signal processors are studied, with examples of hardware and software design of real-time systems for service telecommunications.
