Radar and Person Detection

Radar devices, 5G systems for detecting people based on the integration of communications and detection (ISAC), as well as solutions that use Wi-Fi signals to detect presence.

Terrestrial and Satellite Communications

Antennas for connecting to satellites and point-to-point communication systems.

Signal Transmission and Guidance

Fiber-optic systems and waveguides.

Drones and Radio Equipment

Drones and demonstrations of jamming systems.

Measurements in Telecommunications

Measuring equipment, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers (VNAs), to see how radio signals and components are characterized.

Spectrum Monitoring

ANCOM vehicles for the detection and monitoring of radio signals.

Amateur Radio Operators: Listen, Explore, Experiment

At the amateur radio booth, there will be demonstrations of shortwave reception and exploration of the radio spectrum using an SDR receiver accessible online. Visitors will be able to discover signals in the range of 10 kHz–30 MHz, radio communication methods and digital broadcasting, along with presentations on getting started in amateur radio and the activities of the ETTI Radio Club.

With the participation of Keysight, the booth will feature a spectrum analyzer, a vector network analyzer, and a transceiver with an external monitor. You'll be able to watch how measurements are taken and how the results are interpreted.

In the area of emergency communications, presentations are also being planned on a communications vehicle, the TETRA system, and options for interconnecting with amateur radio networks. These proposed activities, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, are to be finalized.

Ad-hoc workshops offered at the booth
  • the use of transmitting and receiving equipment;
  • Simulation of electronic circuits in LTspice;
  • the design of filters and impedance-matching networks;
  • Measuring filter characteristics with a VNA, including filters for SSB and FM communications.

The topics and format of the ad hoc workshops will depend on the final layout of the booths and the participants' interests.

Workshops in Room A01

10:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. · Room A01

Cybersecurity & INFOSEC

Specialists from DGPI will cover two essential areas for future telecommunications and IT professionals: cybersecurity and Protection of Classified Information – INFOSEC.

The workshop includes hands-on exercises. The following are available for these exercises: 50 access accounts, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

A personal laptop is required for participating in the practical exercises.

1:00–2:00 p.m. · Room A01

An Introduction to the World of Amateur Radio

Discover how people hundreds or thousands of kilometers apart can communicate via radio waves, and take your first steps into amateur radio:

  • the world of amateur radio and the community of radio communications enthusiasts;
  • decoding signals in Morse code;
  • communication via amateur radio networks.
