Scientific research
At the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, research and innovation are an integral part of our mission, complementary to the training of future specialists in modern technical fields.
The close link between teaching and research ensures the training of specialists capable of participating in innovative projects, while the involvement of teaching staff in cutting-edge research adds value to the educational process, enriching the content and teaching methods. ETTI thus promotes academic excellence through a stimulating environment that combines theory with practice and innovation.
Within the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, scientific research activity is carried out in research centers and laboratories with tradition and international recognition. The promotion of excellence in research is a strategic priority of the faculty, the activity being oriented towards national, European and international projects and programs.
The fields covered cover areas of major interest, such as micro- and nanoelectronics, integrated systems and circuits, modern telecommunications, image and signal processing and analysis, multimedia technologies, communication systems and networks, as well as emerging information technologies. The research carried out in the faculty is reflected in valuable scientific results, recognized at national and international level, in projects won in prestigious competitions, in cooperations with renowned industrial partners and in publications in journals and conferences.
The Faculty has a modern research infrastructure with state-of-the-art equipment, representative for higher technical education in Romania. It is used by teachers and researchers, as well as undergraduate, master and PhD students. Some of the research laboratories have been developed in partnership with research institutes and prestigious companies in the field, strengthening the link between academia and industry.
High-performing students are encouraged to participate in research activities, having the opportunity to get involved in projects, to carry out internships and to complete their diploma or dissertation projects in the faculty centers and laboratories.
